I am a piano-based singer-songwriter who writes intimate, introspective, emotionally driven music with narrative and psychological depth and a strong literary sensibility. Classically trained in piano, I build my songs around the instrument’s expressive range, combining it with a deep love of words, delicate vocals, and arrangements that often grow and unfold with the emotional arc of the song. The result is contemplative yet emotionally dynamic music: songs that move through longing, memory, contradiction, discovery, loss, awakening, and release, drawing listeners into experiences that feel at once deeply personal and universal.

My work as a recording artist and songwriter has received recognition through radio, music media, and songwriting awards. My music has received airplay on CBC Radio and SiriusXM, where I was interviewed on What She Said following the release of my debut album, Dark Angel (2015). More recently, I was a featured artist on Breaking Sound Radio following the release of This Time (2025). Kev Rowland of House of Prog described Little Bird (2023) as “a beautiful album” featuring “clear and delicate vocals and reflective piano accompaniment.” As a lyricist, I also collaborate with other artists: “Love,” co-written with Heather Hill and included on her album Twilight Mist, was named Best Original Song at the 2023 Love Wins International Festival.

Especially suited to character-driven film and television, my songs give voice to a character’s inner world and the movement within it: moments of longing, memory, reflection, recognition, loss, awakening, decision, release, and transformation.
Piano-led arrangements, intimate vocals, literary lyrics, and evolving dynamics allow the music to develop with the emotional arc of a scene. Rather than simply establishing a mood, the songs can carry narrative movement: bringing an inner process to the surface, amplifying moments of change, and giving voice to what a character cannot yet say.

Projects
Current
“Midnight Mystery” is an intimate, emotional ballad about lost love: longing for a passion that is no longer there, confronting the reality of a now-empty bed. This single marks the beginning of a new musical chapter and will be released on September 22, 2026, with two more to follow in the months ahead.
I am also developing material for Emergence, my fourth studio album, a concept project that explores the experience of coming into fullness of being and humanity from a bio-mythic perspective. Songs of birth, death, rupture, awakening, and breakthrough trace an archetypal journey through adversity toward freedom, release, expansion, and new life.
Past
In 2025, I released my third studio album This Time, a project about release: the desire for it, the pursuit of it, and its approach. Each song offers a meditation on the way of release and what it requires: awakening to possibility, receptivity, faith in the form of patient waiting, and radical action.
My second studio album, Little Bird (2023), blends piano, strings, and voice in songs that move between languages and styles, from intimate ballads to lighter, chanson-inspired pieces.
My single “The Gift” (2022) was written in the wake of two deaths. It speaks about the power of deep love in the face of profound loss.
My debut album, Dark Angel (2015), explored change and transformation, finding beauty in the play of light and shadow. It is a collection of songs centered on story and accompanied by piano and strings.
Why I Make Music
For me, songwriting is the musical expression of a larger intellectual and creative practice. My work as a scholar, writer, and musician grows from many of the same questions: how we experience ourselves and the world, how we make meaning of what happens to us, and how image, word, story, and sound can illuminate what is difficult to see or say.
Through music, I am especially drawn to the inner life: to moments of longing, memory, contradiction, discovery, rupture, revelation, transformation, and becoming. Some songs emerge directly from my literary and historical interests; others inhabit contemporary emotional worlds. Across them, I am interested in the moment when something hidden becomes felt, recognized, or known.
